Field Offices
T he bulk of the 40 million Latin American street chidlren are located in Developing Nations or Least Developed Nations (LDNs). These are countries with lower incomes and a lower human development index (HDI). For our purposes, we have divided Latin America into 3 areas which both geographically and culturally (in most cases) link peoples in similar circumstances. Notable exceptions would be Brazil for it's different language from the rest (Portuguese) and Cuba for its different political practices (Communism). Each area has or will have an Area President who oversees operations in that area. They report to the Executive Committee at our headquarters. Each country has a Country Director or an Advisor to the Area President. Country Directors are native to their lands and oversee operations in their respective countries, presiding over Administrators of our homes. While we are not currently operating homes in all countries within these areas, SXHU is making contact and advanced preparations to establish a presence. Site visitors are not to contact field offices directly. All requests or inquiries should be made through our headquarters in Salt Lake City.
